I want people to know that I'm always interested in discussing beliefs. More specifically, I know everyone is forming an opinion on what cosplay and cosplay photography has become and the various issues surrounding it (fame, money, etc.) and I'm always up to have private talks about it. It's hard for me to really put up a journal saying, "this is what I think!!!" because they way I think about things is on such a case-by-case basis that my answer and opinion would change depending on the circumstances. But really, bottom line on all the drama lately: cosplayers are human, photographers are human, so lets all treat each other as legitimate people and try to get along. Okay??
Other than that, my dad's chemotherapy is about halfway done and it's certainly been a rocky road so far. He's touched though, that so many of my friends and cosplay-land colleagues have donated and been so helpful. Fang Fox Photography (and Soulfire? I'm not sure) has stated that he will only be taking donations for his shoots at Animazement this year, and all the money from them will go straight towards my father's lymphoma fund. He surprised me with this and honestly I couldn't stop crying, I was so amazed by the kindness of good friends. It's wonderful knowing that via this hobby I've met people who genuinely have my back. His shoots are all booked up for that weekend.
I myself won't be at Animazement this year. I'll be at Anime Boston instead chilling with friends. I plan on bringing:
Sumia -Fire Emblem Awakening-
Judal -Magi-
Casual Kuroko -Kuroko's Basketball-
Date Night Rose -Homestuck-
I started reading Homestuck since I last updated
How are you all?
